Ohio Tech Summit Spotlight:
Dan Manges

Dan joined us on a short Q&A for the Ohio Tech Summit Spotlight Series to talk about unlocking the speed of AI-powered engineers.

Name: Dan Manges

Title: Co-Founder

Company: RWX

Hometown: Mansfield, Ohio

Current Village: Columbus, Ohio

About RWX

RWX provides dev tools and cloud infrastructure for unlocking the speed of AI-powered engineers. Engineering organizations struggle with the performance, reliability, and cost of their build and test pipelines at the pace at which engineers are writing code today. RWX solves these problems to enable organizations to ship faster.

Role at RWX

Dan co-founded the company along with Tommy Graves. He spends the majority of his time talking with customers, working on product design, and writing code. The company is a team of six talented engineers.

Q: What’s a trend in tech/innovation that you think more people should pay attention to?

Shipping fast without breaking things. The best companies reduce the time between writing code and delivering value to customers to be as short as possible.

Q: What’s one “moonshot” idea that would help put Ohio on the map as a leading tech hub?

A "Requests for Startups" list from the state or enterprises here would be amazing. I'd also love incentives for building technology startups in Ohio.

Q: Outside of work, what’s a favorite hobby or activity that you enjoy?

I spend most of my time outside of work parenting my three kids. I also enjoy running, and I recently finished renovating a house in German Village and love it here.

Q: If someone were visiting your city, what’s one can’t miss coffee shop or restaurant people should try?

(I recommend) Comune restaurant, Cobra bar, Stauf's coffee, and Emmett's.
